Meet Your Partner in Care

  • Colleen Webb, LCSW

Hello, I am so glad you're taking this step towards well-being. I offer a warm, supportive and affirming space to explore challenges and build a more fulfilling life. When you're ready to connect and start the journey, know a safe, nonjudgement space awaits you.

Approaches:

My approach often incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), weaving in mindfulness and coping skills to help you understand and navigate your emotions and behaviors with greater ease. I also believe exploring our early experiences can offer valuable insights into our present selves, and together we'll identify your strengths and goals to create lasting positive change.

Client-focus:

If you're navigating anxiety, depression, or the lingering effects of past hurt and trauma, I'm here to help you understand yourself on a deeper level. Together, we'll explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and develop meaningful goals that foster growth and cultivate a stronger sense of self-esteem, empowering you to move forward with greater resilience and well-being.

Communication style:

I'm deeply rooted in active listening and asking questions to understand your experiences and perspective without interruption or premature judgment. I aim to reflect what I hear to ensure accuracy.

I am calm, gentle and encouraging, but will also ask tough questions, when necessary, while always being mindful of your emotional state, adapting my language accordingly.

In offering feedback, my goal is to guide you towards your own insights and solutions, rather than simply giving advice. I offer observations and reflections in a way that encourages self-exploration and reinforces your motivation for change.

Above all, my approach is grounded in non-judgement. You can expect a safe space where you feel comfortable sharing openly and honestly, knowing that you will be met with acceptance and understanding.

 Goals:

Together, we’ll collaboratively identify what truly matters to you, setting meaningful goals that align with your values and aspirations. I’ll also guide you in understanding that goals are dynamic, and we’ll adapt and refine them as you grow, and your needs evolve throughout our journey working together.

 Why I became a provider:

My professional years of experience in the field of child welfare, supporting individuals with disabilities, and witnessing the impact of mental health within my own family and community have solidified my passion for empowering people. I believe everyone deserves to feel understood and accepted, knowing that their background, identity, or challenges do not define their worth.

First Session:

Our first session is a gentle introduction where we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, understanding that this first step can feel scary and vulnerable. We’ll take things at your pace, focusing on building a comfortable connection and beginning the first step together toward understanding your goals for treatment.

“It is an act of bravery to feel your feelings.”
